Our aviation enrichment programme provides students with exciting opportunities to explore the world of aviation in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

The programme is designed to introduce students to aviation knowledge, flight principles, aircraft operations, aviation safety, and career pathways within the aviation industry. Students may have opportunities to visit local aviation facilities, interact with pilots and aviation professionals, and participate in practical aviation-based experiences.

Ruawai College also supports opportunities connected with the Flying NZ Young Eagles Programme, which encourages young people to experience aviation and learn more about flying and the aviation industry. Through these opportunities, students may experience introductory flights, aviation events, and hands-on learning experiences designed to inspire future aviation pathways.

With a strong focus on responsibility, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, the programme helps students build confidence while exploring aviation in a safe and structured environment.

For international students, aviation opportunities may be offered through block courses, aviation visits, workshops, airport experiences, or special aviation-related trips and activities where available.
