What year levels do you accept?
Ruawai College enrols students from Year 8 to Year 13. International enrolments are generally focused on secondary students in Years 10 to 13.
Do you accept students under 18 years old?
Yes. International learners under 18 years are welcome and are supported through approved accommodation, pastoral care, and wellbeing systems in accordance with the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.
What accommodation options are available?
International learners may stay with:
- approved homestay families
- parents or legal guardians
- approved designated caregivers
All accommodation arrangements for students under 18 are monitored and approved by the School.
Do you provide airport pickup?
Yes. Airport transfer arrangements can be organised for international learners arriving in New Zealand.
Do students need insurance?
Yes. All international learners must hold appropriate medical and travel insurance for the full duration of their enrolment in New Zealand.
Do students need a visa?
Yes. International learners must hold a valid visa that allows study in New Zealand before they begin enrolment.
What qualifications can students study?
Senior students can work towards:
- NCEA Level 1
- NCEA Level 2
- NCEA Level 3
- University Entrance
Is English language support available?
