Newly established position to support science learning at Ruawai College

  • We are seeking applications for a Science Technician to join our Science learning area.
  • This role of  Science Technician is approximately 15 hours a week. Remainder of hours up to 30, can be made up of Administration hours.
  • The part time work rota for this position and the composition of hours to be negotiated with successful applicant.
  • This position is covered by the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.
    • Science Technician Grade: 2.1 – Science Technician Scale
    • Administration Grade: 2.1 – Administration Scale

Newly established position to support learning at Ruawai College

Vacancy: Diverse Learning Liaison (Fixed Term, Part-Time)
Start: By negotiation, Term 4 2025
End: 27 January 2027

Ruawai College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our Diverse Learning team in this newly established role.

This 0.4FTE position has flexible working hours negotiable with the successful applicant. The Diverse Learning Liaison will play a key role in strengthening inclusive practice so that all students are supported to achieve their personal best.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating learning support and interventions for students with identified needs
  • Facilitating and overseeing the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Liaising with teachers, whānau, and external agencies 
  • Supporting teachers to differentiate and adapt classroom practice
  • Monitoring progress and data for students receiving learning support
